Springfield Mattress began in a small Springfield house with a simple belief: build better mattresses with care and honesty. From those humble beginnings, we've grown into a local tradition of quality craftsmanship and personal service that's stood the test of time.

1957

BUILT FROM EXPERIENCE

Springfield Mattress was founded in 1957 by John S. Reynolds in a small house in Springfield. In 1958, the business moved to Commercial Street, where the foundation for a lasting company was built.

1957 - 2013

PASSED DOWN THROUGH GENERATIONS

For three generations, Springfield Mattress remained in the Reynolds family, led first by John S. Reynolds, then John P. Reynolds and later John M. Reynolds. Family members worked throughout the business, carrying forward a hands-on tradition of craftsmanship, personal service and standing behind every mattress they made.

2013

A NEW CHAPTER BEGAN

In 2013, Brian Croft purchased Springfield Mattress with a commitment to protect its heritage while preparing the company for the future.

Since then, we've continued evolving our designs, materials and manufacturing capabilities while staying true to what made Springfield Mattress special from the beginning.
